I watched my wife use the app for two weeks. Day one, my favorite feature made her laugh. Day twelve, she gave it two seconds.

I nerfed my own product from +60 to +12 before launch, back when the only players were my wife and me.

The prototype worked in an hour. The eleven weeks after were for everything the ship-in-a-day discourse skips.

Five todo apps died the same way: they stored what I did, never what I became. The sixth one stopped being a todo app.
